May 30, 2010 There was also a small forest fire about one half mile west of the causeway on Rt. 74 the fire damage was not visible but it can be seen from the lake. See our photo albums page for pictures of the fire. Please be sure to thank our local first responders for their prompt response to the emergency.

January 19-20, 2010 3 ELPOI members attended the annual North East Aquatic Plant Management Society conference; Milfoil Project Coordinator Rolf Tiedemann, ELPOI Board member Chris Hyde and Web Manager Michael Tiedemann were in attendance. This conference covers the yearly progress in lake management across the north east, as well as show casing emerging techniques and theories about aquatic ecosystem management and restoration.
