2019 Boat Launch Trash Page
Retired ELPOI Adopt-A-Highway person Tonya C. took her traditional walk to the Eagle Lake boat launch hoping to enjoy her new freedom from picking up trash and was greeted upon entry into the boat launch area by the pile of trash in the invasives species box and a very used tire sitting next to it- with her constant concern for the environment and sense of community pride she bagged the trash and called DOT to have it removed- Thanks Tonya.

Addendum-Two weeks later Tonya finds these tires at the boat launch overflow parking/ bus turn around on NYS rt 74, again she piled them and contacted DOT for their removal. Tonya thanks again, also thanks to NYS DOT staff for picking them up under the Adopt-A-Highway program.
